In this session Matthias Steiner and Bernd Krannich from SAP will share experiences and lessons learned gained from implementing and contributing to Cloud Foundry. They'll start by recapping on the beginnings of SAP's journey to developing a cloud platform and why SAP initially opted against Cloud Foundry. Attendees will learn what made SAP change its mind and get to understand the key factors that influenced that decision. The speakers will tell tales out of school by addressing some of the challenges SAP faced incorporating Cloud Foundry into its enterprise cloud platform. The session will also cover strategies developed to help customers smoothly migrate from SAP's legacy stack to Cloud Foundry such as Spring Cloud Connectors and embracing a Microservices architecture. Bernd and Matthias conclude with an outlook on the road ahead e.g. the main contributions by SAP to Cloud Foundry.
