Brian Gallagher is President of the Cloud Management Division for EMC Corporation. With revenues of $23.2 billion in 2013 and 60,000 people worldwide, EMC is a global leader in enabling businesses and service
providers to transform their operations and deliver IT as a service. Fundamental to this transformation is cloud computing. Through innovative products and services, EMC accelerates the journey to cloud computing,
helping IT departments to store, manage, protect and analyze their most valuable asset—information—in a more agile, trusted and cost-efficient way.

As President of CMD, he is responsible for the company’s strategy & offerings for cloud native
application management & orchestration. Increasingly, IT departments around the globe are faced with
many challenges surrounding flexibility, agility, cost and security of their IT applications and information.
Many are turning to the hybrid cloud to help with these challenges. However, with too many choices in
the market, this remains a daunting task. EMC’s cloud management focus will help customers abstract,
simplify, discover, assess, migrate, broker and manage hybrid cloud services.

Prior to this role, Gallagher served as President of the Enterprise & Midrange Storage Division,
responsible for the VMAX, VNX and Connectrix business units. He spent 13 years as Vice President and
then Senior Vice President leading EMC’s DMX, VMAX and VPLEX technology. He was also responsible
for EMC's Global Database Strategy and EMC’s Big Data Research Labs in Brazil and Russia. As one of
EMC’s longest-serving employees, Gallagher has been with EMC for 29 years and has been developing
advanced enterprise information storage products for three decades. Prior to joining EMC, he developed
storage products for Wang Laboratories' VS Systems.

Gallagher received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Tufts University and a master’s
degree in electrical and computer engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He has also been awarded 23 U.S. patents.
